Latino Outreach and Retention
The Latino Outreach and Retention office is the place for incoming students and current students that provides necessary services to successfully integrate into college life. In conjunction with the Student Outreach and Transition Office, the center provides scholarship information, interpreting services, and a strong sense of inclusiveness for all our students. Our mission is to help the students graduate and to make them feel part of the EKU community.
Latino Student Association
The purpose of the Latino Student Association is to provide education about the diversity of Latino culture, to organize and to promote Latino cultural events and holidays, and to actively engage in advocacy and activism that promote access to higher education for Latino students. LSA at EKU seeks to create a community where incoming Latino students find support and encouragement on campus.
Join the Latino Student Association, in collaboration with EKU Multicultural Student Affairs and the Department of Languages, Cultures, and Humanities for a series of events to celebrate Latino Heritage Month September 20 through October 9, 2018.
Centro de Éxito Latino
El Centro de Éxito Latino es el lugar donde nuevos estudiantes y estudiantes activos pueden encontrar servicios que los ayuden a integrarse a la vida universitaria. En conjunto con la Oficina de Transición y Recursos Estudiantiles, proveen información de becas, servicios de interpretación, y un fuerte sentido de inclusión para todos nuestros estudiantes. Nuestra misión es ayudar a estudiantes a graduarse y hacerlos sentir parte de la comunidad de EKU.
Asociación de Estudiantes Latinos
El propósito de la Asociación de Estudiantes Latinos es proveer educación sobre la diversidad de la Cultura Latina, organizar y promover eventos y celebraciones culturales, también en participar activamente en la abogacía y activismo que promueva el acceso a la educación superior para estudiantes Latinos. La Asociación de Estudiantes Latinos (por sus siglas en inglés, LSA) en EKU busca crear una comunidad donde nuevos estudiantes Latinos encuentren el ánimo y apoyo en el campo universitario.
